About the name: Our eldest daughter calls mum ‘Mow’. When our littlest human was born, big sister started referring to her special time alone with mum, as Me and Mow time. Soon, she started using that time to help mum make soap and that gave the name to our products.
Me and Mow Soap is Tatum Hills Farm's soap and body care range.
We only use natural ingredients, from our farm, local suppliers or other ethically sources such as our fair trade shea butter.
We have an extensive vegan range.
We also have a range of soaps made using the milk from our happy pet goats. We share the milk with our goat kids and do not separate them from their mums. Our goats enjoy lots of space and cuddles.
The science of soap making.
Our soap contains sodium hydroxide.
Why sodium hydroxide?
Sodium hydroxide is an essential ingredient required for making soap from scratch.
When sodium hydroxide is added to a fat (oil for us) in the presence of a liquid (milk or water for us) it makes soap through a process called saponification. Our soap recipes are carefully calculated and cured to ensure the sodium hydroxide is fully reacted with the oils , leaving you with a mild soap bar.
