Chicken feeder success

I have been searching for a chicken feeder that would provide my chooks with constant access, while keeping the feed dry, reducing spillage and not being to attractive to wild birds... And I found it!!

Here's the video http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pJvqH7a78SA

Picture
Cut a 90mm hole in a bucket
Picture
Take a flanged 90mm 90 degree PVC pipe and shorten the non-flanged end so it won't touch the bottom of the bucket when in place.
Picture
Fit into the hole.
Picture
Repeat 3 or 4 times and make sure there is space for the feed to fall between the bottom of the bucket and the pipes.
Picture
Add a piece of 90mm pipe cut in half for extra rain shelter and... Just add chooks.

All my chookies seemed to take to it easily and the feed is staying nice and dry, also thanks to some silicone where the pipes meet the bucket.

Special thanks to my clever dad for his patient assistance!

Nice build there :) I think having the 3 feeders in there will help the grain to keep on moving through...
Have a great one,
Rob..
